Fall is creeping up regardless of how ready we are with our fall decorations, but this month we’re here to help you prepare for the changing of the seasons: You voted, and chose fall themed upcycles for our September project!

This exciting seasonal prompt caused me a bit of reflection. As a now decade-long dweller of Los Angeles, my Minnesotan origin instincts to add a sepia tone to my home — the perfect backdrop for cozy fall evenings in! — has long since dissipated. Have I become numb to the changing of the seasons?

Surely no matter how much my life resembles year-round-summer, autumn scents during a fall transition are a must. Leaves fall from trees wherever you are (and leaves make great decor). And frankly, if my home decor is changing with seasons, it absolutely must be reused. So with that, I’m super excited to dig in with you this month and explore ways to fill our homes with fall scents, fallen leaves, and discarded fall treasures. In this together. -Molly
