What Would You Do With a Beautiful Empty Box?
Creative Ideas, Community Highlights, & A Fresh Blog Post

You know when something’s too nice to let go of… but it’s not quite your style? I’m currently staring at a gorgeous empty box that housed some donations to Remnants—I want to keep it but I haven’t cracked what it should become next. A storage bin? A keepsake box? A tiny side table? I admit, it’s already beautiful, but my style isn’t quite so old world. I like bold, pop-arty things.

I’d love your ideas—just hit reply and tell me what you would do with this box. I’ll round up some of your best suggestions in next week’s newsletter!

Project of the Week
Need a little creative nudge? Each week, we’ll spotlight a standout project from the community—something clever, beautiful, or just plain fun to get your gears turning. Whether you’re in the mood to start something new or simply want to admire someone else’s handiwork, this week’s pick is sure to spark an idea or two. This week’s project, below.
🎨 Handmade Magic: Cassandra’s Watercolor Journals
When Cassandra started learning watercolor last year, she ran into a familiar problem—affordable journals with quality paper and beautiful covers were hard to come by. So she made her own.
Using faux leather scraps (many with stunning metallic and glitter finishes), Cassandra began crafting watercolor journals that are as functional as they are beautiful. Her latest batch of materials? 45 shimmering, one-of-a-kind sheets that moved her to tears when she opened the package.
The results? Gorgeous, glittering journals that reflect both her creativity and her commitment to making art accessible. Keep an eye out—Cassandra plans to start selling them by the holidays, and we’ll be first in line. 💫
